St. Nicholas’ Discipleship offers a Religious Education program for youth in grades 1 through 11.

 

The Church teaches that the primary teachers of children are the child’s parents. The Parish is given the task of assisting parents in teaching the faith to their children. The mission of the Discipleship Team, including the volunteer catechists, is to assist the parents in teaching about our Catholic faith and passing this faith on to the children who attend the programs and activities offered. As part of the parish RE program, your child will experience ways to know, love, and serve our Lord and the Church.

Elementary - Grades 1-5

​

The Elementary Program for our children takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 5:30pm-6:45pm. The 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month will be a home based program. Busing will not be available for the elementary children. For more information about our program click this link RE registration letter to families 2024-25.

Our religious education program for grade one students is a time for young children to learn more about Jesus and the Catholic Faith and begin preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion, which is typically received in 2nd grade.

​

For our Grade 2 students, in addition to the work done in the classroom and at home, families (child and at least one parent) will gather once a month for a family faith sharing experience.  During these monthly gatherings we will spend some time learning more about Jesus and our beautiful Catholic faith.

Middle School - Grades 6-8
